His qualifications were gained after fulfilling a number of pre-requisite courses, and successful completion of qualifying exams.

With over 40 years of industry experience he is well versed in analyzing any situation, whether Manufacturing, Carpet Installation, Cleaning or general use causes it. His job is to investigate and provide an unbiased report on carpet problems using a series of tests and accepted industry standards. He is independent and impartial, and offers a service that provides a solution to that niggling problem.

The service is for Manufacturers, Carpet Retailers, Carpet Cleaners or Consumers for both Domestic & Commercial properties.

How does it work?

The role and function of the carpet inspector is to investigate and determine the causes of a complaint that has been filed. His role is to gather only the facts surrounding the claim. He must be able to determine the specific cause of the problem in each case. Following inspection investigating, a report written in an accurate, objective and informative manner is delivered to the commissioning party. Credibility and integrity of the inspector inspires the client to produce the final decision on the claim settlement.

The following is the format the report will take:

  • Statement of the problem
  • Detailed physical description
  • Claims history
  • Testing
  • Applied industry standards
  • Conclusions
  • Identification of the responsible party
  • Recommendation (Summary of corrections)
  • Confidential information

Carpet Manufacturing

Whilst the vast majority of modern carpets are manufactured to exacting standards with a high level of quality control, occasionally a fault may occur unnoticed by the manufacturer and which is outside accepted standards.

Carpet Installation

Many carpet problems are caused by poor quality installations. For a carpet to perform properly it is essential that it is installed correctly, preferably to BS 5325/2001. If care is not taken at the installation stage then the life of the carpet can be greatly reduced or even render it not fit for purpose.

Careless cleaning

Regular careful cleaning and maintenance will extend the life of your carpet and maintain its appearance, but careless treatment can ruin it. With over 40 years experience in the carpet cleaning industry I can offer an insight to what has gone wrong and a solution, although sometimes that can mean the carpet has to be replaced.
